We express our gratitude to the incredible Alexandra Kutas and Choose Love for donating almost $30,000 to our shelter for the replacement of old windows. Alexandra, originally from Dnipro, is known for challenging the notion that people with disabilities cannot be successful in our time and has achieved great success in the modeling industry on an international level. She became the first wheelchair model in the world to walk the runway. Additionally, she is a public figure and advisor to the mayor of Dnipro on issues of accessibility in the city’s infrastructure. After the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russia, Alexandra created a separate channel on the internet to quickly report on events in Ukraine and support Ukrainians, boosting their morale and faith in victory. Later, she joined the grant organization Choose Love in London and led its program in Ukraine and Poland, aimed at providing aid to those affected by hostilities.
By turning to Alexandra for help, we received understanding, support, and funding for the repair work in our shelter. She is an example of resilience and unbreakable spirit, a person with a great thirst for life and a belief that goodness always triumphs. We thank her for her support.
