Specialists from the Angels of Salvation Charitable Foundation visited our shelter to conduct classes with the young residents. Lessons in mathematics, Ukrainian language, English language, history, creative classes in the art workshop, and with a speech therapist—such an interesting educational program was prepared for our children by representatives of the Angels of Salvation Charitable Foundation, for which we are very grateful. We thank the Angels of Salvation Charitable Foundation for their cooperation with our organization and for educating and developing the children at the shelter!

Our shelter was visited by Konstantin Zhaldakov, Chairman of the Council on IDP Issues at the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration, and Yuriy Onishchenko, member of the Council on IDP Issues, as part of their monitoring visits to temporary accommodation facilities for internally displaced persons in Dnipro with the aim of assessing the needs of displaced persons.

Humanitarian aid was delivered to the shelter – drinking water supplies and fuel vouchers, prepared in cooperation with the Charitable Foundation “Promotion and Development.” The young residents of the shelter also received sweet gifts from the guests.

During the meeting between representatives of the Council on IDP Issues and Talina Zharikova, head of the Dobro na Amuri Charitable Foundation, a number of problematic issues were raised concerning shelter and requiring urgent resolution. In addition, Konstantin Zhaldaakov met with shelter residents and talked to them about their current needs and the problems they face every day. He personally familiarized himself with the living conditions of IDPs in the shelter by visiting the common areas and residents’ living quarters.

“Today, I met many fellow countrymen from Luhansk region. I am an internally displaced person myself and understand perfectly well the difficulties people face. That is why, if I can help, I will do everything in my power,” said Konstantin Zhaldakov, commenting on his visit.

The meeting took place in a friendly atmosphere and left a pleasant impression.

TV presenter Yefim Konstantinovsky helped organize New Year’s Eve 2026 celebrations for children from the Dobro na Amuri charity shelter.
Decorating the shelter’s lobby together for the holiday, contests, gifts, pizza and sweets, Santa’s elves, a night walk with sparklers, sledding, and festive Christmas songs — this was this year’s holiday for the little residents of the shelter.

A pleasant surprise for residents of the Dobro na Amuri charity shelter on New Year’s Eve!

Oksana Filippova, a native of Dnipro who moved to the Netherlands in 2022 after the war began, organized a Christmas fair there, which raised €4,000 to install solar panels on our shelter building. The fair was held in the small village of Rolde in the northeast of the Netherlands. The residents of this village were happy to join in the charity event to raise funds for our organization. The fair was held in the ancient cathedral of Rolde in a Christmas setting with characters from the Christmas nativity scene and a festive atmosphere. The main sponsor of the event was the local volleyball team.

With the funds raised at this event, we plan to install several sections of solar panels on the roof of the shelter building and generate electricity for lighting and heating several rooms in the shelter. This will allow us to save on electricity supplied to the shelter by the energy provider and reduce the shelter’s utility bills, which is very important for us!

We are very grateful to Oksana and other organizers of the fair: the municipality of Rolde, representatives of local churches, businesses, and sports clubs! We are very grateful to all participants of the fair—Dutch, Ukrainians, and residents of other countries, everyone who joined in raising funds for our shelter!

Together with psychologist, aromatherapy and neurographics specialist Natalia Vereda, who visits our shelter, the adult residents of the shelter this time drew a neurographic Tree of Abundance. Natalia says that such activities help to clear the mind of old limiting beliefs about success and abundance, form new intentions for the realization of the boldest ideas, and charge thoughts with positivity.

Even without electricity in the shelter building, the class was successfully conducted and brought joy to the shelter residents, helping them to distract themselves from unpleasant thoughts and terrible memories, at least for a while.

We are very grateful to Natalia for caring for the mental health of displaced persons and providing them with free classes, art therapy sessions, seminars, and master classes! These classes are always filled with sincerity and openness, and after them, people feel calmer, lighter, and brighter in their thoughts!

Every visit to the shelter by the well-known Ukrainian TV presenter and volunteer who helps our organization, Yefim Konstantinovsky, turns into a real celebration and brings great joy to the children at the shelter. For the fourth year in a row, Yefim has been helping us run the shelter and care for its residents, for which we are extremely grateful!

Fima gets along very well with children and prepares an entire entertainment program for them every time they meet. This time, the trip to the city center included a trip to the supermarket for treats, a visit to a café, and a movie theater session. The children were very happy, and their good mood lasted all day!

 

Representatives of the National Police of Ukraine congratulated the residents of the Dobro na Amuri Charitable Foundation shelter on St. Nicholas Day.

The heads of Police Department No. 1 of the Dnipropetrovsk District Police Department No. 2, together with juvenile police officers, military personnel, and volunteers, visited our shelter to congratulate the children on the holiday.

The children were delighted with an entertaining program featuring a magician, contests, and treats—sweets, pizza, and other gifts from Ukrainian law enforcement officers!

The celebration was held with the support of the POLMADI law firm, for which we are especially grateful to its representatives.

This year, on the eve of St. Nicholas Day, Olga Peredysta, a good friend of our organization from Dnipro, visited the shelter with her assistants.

Several hours of interesting conversation, lots of fun, games, contests, New Year’s surprises, sweets, and a festive mood. The little residents of our shelter always eagerly await the arrival of Ms. Olia and her team members.

We are very grateful to Victoria Pavlovich, Tatiana Babenko and Yana Mikhailova, hairdressers from Dnipro, who came to our shelter with the charitable purpose of providing free hairdressing services to the residents of the shelter! With your help, the residents of the shelter become more beautiful and confident!

Celebration of the Children’s Day in the shelter of the CF “Dobro na Amur” together with representatives of the NGO “Leader of Dnipro” (with the support of the political association “Batkivshchyna”). Fun, entertainment with animators, goodies, lots of colorful balloons and soap bubbles – this is how this day passed for the children from our shelter!
